ZDAMWU General Secretary (GS) Justice Chinhema expressed gratitude on the massive support from our Switzerland based global partner Industriall.

” The objective of the training was to equip union members with skills relevant to defend interests and rights of members. Members were equipped on skills to attract new members, skills to bargain for a living wage , skills to represent our members during hearings,” GS Chinhema said.
He added, “The union will never be the same going forward. This is just the beginning of good things ahead. We will be rolling out more such programs targeting gender issues as well as young workers issues.
“Our affiliation to the Global Union Industriall was a very key decision ever made by any organisation worth its salt. We are learning many things and we shall learn more through solidarity and support from our international board” the GS said.
He concluded by reiterating that ZDAMWU is a brand which is there to liberate mine workers in the country.
“As we have always said , ours is a brand that was formed to liberate mine workers who have suffered for too long,” he said.
